AVEON 9 : VOLUME 1 – Story

Thousand of years into the future, humans find themselves the masters of a new planet, Aveon9. While establishing their supremacy, they angered more natives than they pleased and of course there were repercussions. Now there’s chaos and anarchy with three warring human factions fighting for dominance. This is a story of a native Eyar with extraordinary powers who goes by the name Tez, and a human, Furstinna Lunestra Lunus Riveria the Fourth, aka Princess Lunestra and the duo trying to fulfill their own missions, and facing the obstacles in their path.

Subject – 10/10

You’ll witness a very intricately designed world in Aveon 9. Extensive details, alien species, their physical and behavior differences, their active role in the political unrest of the planet, the improved & worsened condition of the planet due to human interference, etc is simply mind blowing. The attention to detail alone is worth the read. The sheer genius of the writer deserves a massive round of applause. There are 6 significant intelligent species on the planet of Aveon 9, namely:- Us Humans, Shape-shifting Eyars, Ape-like Simians, Entertaining Kinorians, Skilled Bonakins and Fierce Gnorms. All of them are distinctively different and got their own role to play in the story. The world of Aveon 9 is fascinating and how humans got stranded there, and eventually started ruling that very planet, is an interesting plot.

Pace – 9/10

The pacing of the story is near perfect. It unfolds pretty quickly, yet maintaining some space for us to ponder upon the plot and not revealing all at once.

Grip – 9/10

The story is extremely gripping. I finished it in one seating, which explains how engaging it was. A pure page turner.

Impact – 10/10

The story is very impactful. It played well with outlandish concepts and yet managed to make it believable. The apparent Space Opera/Odyssey vibe wears off after the first couple of pages, and the story becomes very realistic, and it feels like a story on our own earth. Because although the different species act differently, yet they have some dominant human-like traits, which makes them relatable, no matter how different they look. But it leaves you asking for more, because, by the end of the first volume, you will be entwined in the world of Aveon 9.

Dialogues – 9/10

Dialogues have not been overdone at any point. The narrative is perfect and use of words are kept at a bare minimum. Nothing cheesy or over the top. There is crisp humor here and there, which is balanced by serious political agendas, which holds some gravity.

Artwork and Coloring -9/10

These two aspects have been handled with extreme professionalism. The artwork is visually pleasing, and some panels are truly stunning. This gorgeous artwork and colors perfectly compliments the equally amazing storytelling making the planet of Aveon 9 come to life.

Graphic Design and Letters:- 8/10The font used is a bit different, and I do not mean it in a bad way. The speech bubble placements were proper and didn’t shadow the art. The overall design is very appealing and fits perfectly with the tone.
